The product performs as advertised. It appears to not take adjustments on the fly so well, requiring stopping and restarting of the system when tuning in the right pressure. It provided a useful, simple solution to my problem but it's too pricy for most applications. Given the cost, I expect it and the valve to last a long time....

Does the job it was designed to do. If you get the stainless version like I did, put some oil or anti seize on bolts. Locked up the first bolt and nut due together. Not a product defect just the nature of stainless on stainless. Will be worth the hassle it comes to undoing in the future, and good practice whenever using stainless nuts and bolts....

I purchased these in the hope that they were of the same quality as the original valves on my glockmann pump. Unfortuneately they also are now made with plastic plungers (which break) rather than the original brass. I find the valves I have been getting locally with plastic plungers do not last more than 3 months. Sadly thats life....

Just received and installed the Controller. The handbook is a little vague and in the end had to contact Bidgee to clarify the programming. They steered me in the direction of the Youtube videos from Hunter Industries and after watching them everything became clear. Now it is a simple operation to program.
Value for money it is a great controller and would recommend it. I would also highly recommend Bidgee Pumps and Irrigation for their prompt and friendly service, both pre purchase and post purchase....

This is the first time i have purchased a Southern cross Pump and by the performance of it, wont be the last. In the passed i have only used Davey / Grundfos pumps which are expensive and still have there problems. I have compaired the Southern Cross with davey and Grundfos and its made to the same high level as the other two. I am putting this pump to the test and if it continues to stands up to it i will be purchasing another....

Adds a decorative display to garden and is easy to add on to existing system with lower volume requirements. I .would also like to say that the service from bidgee was outstanding, first time order placed at about 2 pm.I got a phone call to change a few items to better choices , at no additional cost, and then delivery in melbourne at 10 am, and installed most that day .A lot better than running around Melbourne trying to find the same for double the price. Thank you keep it up....

We use these to pump temperature-controlled water through a reticulated system as part of a research trial. Each pump sends water through 30 m of 50 mm DWV, then 20 lots of 1 m 13 mm poly before returning to the reservoir via another 30 m of DWV. The pumps return water to the reservoir at a rate of 1 to 1.5 litres per second.
The pumps are prone to overheating if installed horizontally. However, installed vertically (correctly, according to the instructions) we have had them running without fault at surface temperatures up to 50 degrees C. Similar experiments using older models have run these pumps for two months straight....

My old Irritrol 9V controller has a better feature where you can just trigger the normal program instantly at the press of one button and not have to reprogram afterwards. Only problem is that the Irritrol it isn't as waterproof as it should be. Hence my changeover to these units....

Ended up with the outdoor controller, as this one was out of stock, but an easy installation to replace a 15+ year old Hardie pope controller that was dying. All mounting hardware included and extremely simple to wire up as all the terminals were clearly labelled (who needs instructions!!).
Programming interface is also easy to understand and a 'cheat sheet' that attaches using velcro to the inside of the cover is included with tips on how to use the most commonly used features....

Trivial to install, all necessary mounting hardware for installation into wood or mortar included, as well as 12 metres of cable - which should be enough for most installations. Cable joiners also included incase the job requires the sensor to be more than 12 metres from the irrigation controller....

Set it up with the Pro-C Hunter controller, took minimal time to install, mounted the receiver on the side of the controller box with the aerial protuding above the box. THe transmitter then activated the controller from all areas of our 5 acre block, including inside the car and behind the shed. Very pleased with the range. Didn't walk up to the neighbour's to test the range, but it probably would work at least 3-400 metres....
