Hunter HC Wireless Flow Meter Kit (inc. Transmitter & Receiver)

The simple-to-install HC Flow Meter allows customers to monitor flow rates and system hydraulics with Hydrawise-enabled controllers. When connected to the Hydrawise platform, the HC Flow Meter provides a convenient option to detect, monitor, and report critical flow zone data and total system flows. By including an HC flow meter as part of a Hydrawise system installation, customers add an additional layer of landscape protection. This ensures their investment is monitored, their plants are healthy, and their outdoor living space remains in excellent condition. For contractors, a flow meter is a great way to build their businesses through increased offerings and top-level customer service, as problems can be addressed immediately before landscape degradation occurs.

The HC flow meter connects to Hydrawise-enabled controllers, allowing for:

Optional wireless communication kit available for use with any HC Flow Meter:

• Sends station-level flow rates and totals wirelessly from the sensor to the controller, without the need to run wire or dig trenches
• Battery-operated transmitter connects to the flow meter to detect and communicate flow rates and totals. Requires 3 x AA batteries.
• Receiver is powered by the host controller and transfers flow data from the sensor/transmitter to the controller and cloud software
• Provides 152 m line-of-sight communication from transmitter to receiver

Important: For accuracy of recorded flow meter data it is suggested for best practice to have the flow meter connected to the main line that connects to the irrigation system and not the main line of the entire water supply as this can cause confusion when reading flow data. For example if your flow meter is connected to the main line of you entire water supply even when you open a tap, flush the toilet or have a shower. The flow data will be recorded under your flow measurements, however will appear as flow data ”while a zone was not active“ so please keep this in mind when installing your flow meter off your main water supply which isn’t exclusive to your irrigation system.
