The LEIT XRC Controller is a programmable, self contained, water management irrigation control system. It can be programmed to control up to 28 zones using the 1600HE solenoid, spanning an area of over one mile with up to 12 independent water schedules per valve. The LEIT XRC controllers can be installed in any location in an open un-shaded area.

How much light is needed?

The LEIT controllers are unique to all other water management and irrigation control systems because of their ability to harness ambient light to generate electricity. The electricity is stored in long life non-battery based super capacitors and used to power the controller. This feature allows the LEIT system to operate in most area, in any weather conditions, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. On a normal day with direct sunlight, an average range of 5,000 - 100,000 lux can be measured. The LEIT XRC controller requires a minimum of 10,000 lux for normal operation.

The LEIT XRC controller can be used as an individual controller or as a key component of the LEIT Link® irrigation management system. The LEIT XRC series utilizes two-way radio communication to correspond with a LEIT Link Remote Control Handset. The XRC incorporates all the features of the earlier models of LEIT and many new features, allowing the user a wide range of flexibility using two-way communication without the requirement of AC power. The LEIT XRC requires sufficient power for radio operation and should be located in an open un-shaded location.

  • History reports allow the user to review the controller operating history for a total watering time of each valve with overall total and manual run time. This information is available for the current month and the previous 11 months. The user can also review the current year versus previous year.
  • Monthly off option allows shut-off of irrigation for any month of the year. All the months are active by default.
  • Open or short wire circuit allows the controller to detect shorts and/or open wires. The Short and Open valve test is deactivated by default.
